These brownies are perfect for those reflective moments during the dark moon phase, when women are naturally called to pause, integrate, and restore. Instead of reaching for processed sweets, you can enjoy a grounding treat made from black beans, avocado, dates, and cacao.
💡 And yes — they freeze beautifully (if you don’t eat them all first 😉), so you’ll always have a stash ready for when your body and spirit call for a little pause and sweetness.
🥣 Ingredients
For the Brownies

1 (15 oz) can salt-free black beans, drained & rinsed

½ cup cocoa or cacao powder

12 Medjool dates, soaked 15 min & pitted

1 ripe avocado
-
2 Tbsp plant-based milk
-
1 tsp apple cider vinegar (ACV)

1 tsp baking powder
-
½ tsp baking soda
-
¾ cup vegan chocolate chips or chunks

2 flax eggs (2 Tbsp ground flax + 6 Tbsp water, mixed & rested)

½ cup walnuts (optional)
For the Nourishing Chocolate Drizzle (choose one):

2 Tbsp cacao or cocoa powder

2 Tbsp pure maple syrup

1 Tbsp almond butter (or tahini for nut-free)

2 Tbsp warm water (adjust for drizzle consistency)
✨ Date-Cacao Drizzle (whole-food sweetened)

4 Medjool dates, soaked in hot water

2 Tbsp cacao or cocoa powder

2–3 Tbsp plant-based milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper.

In a food processor, combine black beans, cocoa powder, soaked dates, avocado, plant milk, ACV, baking powder, and baking soda. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Add chocolate chips and walnuts, pulsing a few times until evenly mixed.

Pour batter into the prepared baking dish, spread evenly with a spatula.

Bake 35–40 minutes, or until set and a toothpick comes out clean.

Let brownies cool completely before slicing.

Whisk or blend your chosen drizzle until silky, then pour generously over cooled brownies.

Cut into squares and freeze on a baking sheet. Once frozen, store in a container or freezer bag. They thaw beautifully at room temp, or you can enjoy them slightly chilled for a fudgy bite.
